AK GROUP – a flourishing venture born from the passion of a women farmer based out of Karur.

lost traditions by serving customers with organic products crafted with natural goodness.

Mrs. Rajeswari Manoharan, our founder who is passionate towards agriculture – started her own oil
mill in 2020. Later her son Mr. Arunkumar Manoharan recognized her unwavering commitment to
organic products and joined forces to amplify her vision. Leveraging his expertise in hospitality and
tourism management, with a wealth of experience spanning F&B, Retail, and pet hospital industries,
Mr. Arun Kumar spearheaded the branding efforts for their chekku oil under the names SAMAYAL Oil
and Ever 16 Hair Oil. Extending their reach, he successfully established their brand presence in both
Trichy and Chennai. Together, they continue to work towards the cause of organic living, embodying
a legacy of innovation, quality, and sustainability.

ingredients. In today’s fast paced world, we invite customers to take a moment to pause & embrace
the healthy living our Grannies cherished. We also aim to spotlight & reconnect lost Tamil cultural
heritage. Our menu focuses on reviving our granny’s forgotten flavors.

Our traditional hair oil, crafted with reverence to the formulations passed down by our
ancestors through generations. Each bottle embodies centuries of wisdom and natural
expertise, carefully blending pure, natural ingredients known for their nourishing and
revitalizing properties. Our upcoming pipeline products under the brand E16, features handmade soaps crafted from natural ingredients and a range of cosmetics designed to enhance your natural beauty.

What Ak Farm offers?

Our next endeavour involves venturing into cattle raising, driven by a sustainable
ethos. Our approach focuses on utilizing organic feeds sourced directly from our own oil mill,
repurposing by-products to enhance the health and well-being of our livestock. By embracing
organic practices and minimizing waste through our closed-loop system, we're not just
farming; we're nurturing a healthier, more sustainable future for generations to come.

About Our Founder

Mrs. Rajeswari Manoharan hails from a prominent family in Trichy city, where she completed her schooling. Her journey took a significant turn when she married Mr. Manoharan, who belongs to a farming family in a village in Karur. Transitioning from city life to rural living, she found her calling in agriculture, recognizing its pivotal role in sustenance.

Driven by her passion for agriculture, she pursued a diploma in the field, further honing her skills and knowledge. Her dedication and innovative organic farming techniques earned her prestigious accolades, such as NABARD pasumai uzhavar mandram which was headed by her secured state second award in the year 2010 – 11, “Saadhanai vivasaayi” award by Dinamalar in the year 2012, “Best farmer award 2013” by Malarum velaanmai, “Achiever award” in 2015 by TamilNadu press employees union, “Best farmer award” by Indian council of Agricultural research (ICAR), Mahila kisan diwas “Best female farmer award” in 2017, Achiever award for “Women leadership in Banana entrepreneurship” by ICAR in 2021, World women’s day award for her contribution in Banana cultivation by Graamiyam - Kulithalai in 2022.

She was the first person to implement “Drip irrigation” technique in her Taluk. She also took the initiative to educate people in her taluk about government schemes and actively directs numerous women self-help groups in her community. Eager to share her expertise, she also educates and certifies aspiring students pursuing agriculture. Also serves as the representative for the farmers of her village in government meetings. She leads both the “Nerpayir aarvalar kuzhu” & “NABARD pasumai uzhavar mandram” and holds membership in the “National food safety association”. Additionally, she conducts workshops focused on cattle care and management.

Fueled by her quest to promote organic practices, Mrs. Rajeswari established AK Oil Mill in 2020, specializing in the production of 100% pure chekku oil. Additionally, she ventured into crafting delectable raw banana-based value added products and traditional hair oil, inspired by ancient formulas passed down through generations. Continuing her exploration of natural remedies, Mrs. Rajeswari developes artisanal soaps using locally sourced ingredients.
